Critical Voice

Both of the critical voice articles we read in this class along with the Valarie article for Mrs. Dosser's class, were very interesting and have really made me think. I know that as a first year teacher more than likely everyone is going to be telling me that I need to just go with the flow, but I want to stand up for my student's. One can only hope that they will be in a classroom where the principal stands behind you on serious issues with your students, but that is unrealistic to assume that you will. I am just glad that we are reading articles and seeing examples of teachers who both have and haven't stood up for their students. This is a very important issue!!!
